Thanks so much Dan. What a privilege to be here with all of you this morning.

Congratulations to the students from Marrickville High School who participated in the Student Human Rights Forum held at NSW Parliament on 1 September.

This year's Sydney Fringe Festival continues its contribution to our vibrant community and arts landscape.

 I speak today on behalf of the many people in my community who have reached out to me who are living with chronic pain, cancer, PTSD, anxiety and other serious health issues who have found hope and relief through legally prescribed medicinal cannabis.

I would like to acknowledge Debjani (Deb) Sarkar, a remarkable Dulwich Hill local whose work exemplifies community leadership and social justice.

Wilkins Public School has recently unveiled a beautiful First Nations mural, a testament to our community's commitment to truth-telling and reconciliation.

Congratulations to the organisers of the 21st Bay Run Festival, held on Sunday 3 August around the stunning Iron Cove Bay. 

I was recently honoured to view the outstanding Dulwich High School of Visual Arts and Design indigenous art display.

The Inner West Distillery Trail, a brilliant new initiative that showcases my local area's exceptional craft distilling industry was launched on Wednesday 27 August.
