I was honoured recently to be a judge for the Haberfield Association 2025 Garden Awards. These awards celebrate the beauty and community spirit that make Haberfield such a unique and cherished suburb. To all the entrants, thank you! Your gardens are more than beautiful spaces; they are reflections of care, creativity, and connection. Special thanks must go to Jeff Malyon, whose tireless efforts brought this year's awards to life. Thanks also to my fellow judges, it was a difficult task to pick winners from such wonderful entries. Congratulations to the winners! Ron and Beryl Brown took out first place in the Whole Garden category, and Takis Constantopedos won first place in the Part Garden category for his stunning front garden. Congratulations also to the second and third placegetters in each of the categories: Whole Garden – 2nd Madelaine Digiusta and 3rd Vittorio and Franca Locantro; Part Garden – Equal 2nd Jozefa Sobski and Bronwyn Thorncraft and Katie Malyon and 3rd Konstantinos Katsantonis. Haberfield is truly a garden suburb, and these awards remind us why. Thank you to everyone involved for making this celebration so special.
