The Minns Labor Government is boosting support for emergency foster carers by more than doubling the immediate crisis care payment, recognising the vital role foster carers play when children need a safe home urgently.

In an Australian first, people born in NSW who are aged 16 to 21 now have the option to set up a Digital Birth Certificate, making it easier to access their identification.

I congratulate Marrickville local Caitlin Delaney, who was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia in the 2026 Australia Day Honours. Caitlin was recognised for her significant service to cancer advocacy, care, research and awareness, and her work in embryology.

Congratulations to Dr Susan Jacobs from Dulwich Hill who was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to women's health in obstetrics and gynaecology in the 2026 Australia Day Honours.

Congratulations to Mr Martin Pearce from Haberfield, recognised in the 2026 Australia Day Honours with the Ambulance Service Medal for distinguished service as an intense care,
