I would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we meet today, the Gadigal and Wangal people, and pay my respects to Elders past and present.  

I extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples here today. 

It is a real pleasure to join you this afternoon to celebrate National Volunteers Week and, most importantly, to celebrate all of you.
