Athena Spyropoulos was a much-loved member of our Marrickville community. 

When the cost of living continues to play on all our minds, the Inner West Sustainability Hub and Green Living Centre have come together to offer a program that helps us deal with the cost of living and importantly how we might be more energy efficient.

I wish to welcome Jannawi Family Centre to their new premises at the Flour Mills in Summer Hill, after serving the Inner West and South-Western Sydney communities from their Lakemba home for over 40 years.

I was honoured to recently attend a celebration dinner recognising the 50th anniversary of the Child Abuse Prevention Service [CAPS], Australia's oldest child abuse prevention service.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Ms Mary Boustani and the Inner West Council on their recent honours at the Women in Local Government Awards.

I was thrilled to recently meet with the new Dress for Success CEO, Melissa Collins, and head of philanthropy and partnerships, Amelia Lawrence, at their fantastic new premises at the Inner West Sustainability Hub in Summer Hill.

I extend my sincerest congratulations to the Inner West Council for the wonderful achievement of winning the prestigious 2023 Bluett Award.

I wish to offer my heartfelt congratulations to Ms Sarah Clifton-Bligh a young resident of my Summer Hill electorate who recently competed at the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships held in Paris.

I strongly encourage everyone to get involved with this year's National Recycling Week, on from Monday 13 to Sunday 19 November. 

I was recently privileged to meet the amazing, hard working team of community leaders, counsellors and health workers at the Gender Centre's new premises at 10 Lilydale St Marrickville.
