Congratulations to the Newtown Jets who added to their rich club history by winning the NSW Cup, beating the North Sydney Bears 28-22.

I acknowledge that the Equality Legislation Amendment Bill (LGBTIQA+) Bill 2023 evokes strong views in the community and thank all the Summer Hill constituents who have written to me to express their views, either in support of or in opposition to the bill. 

The AFLW Sydney Derby III came to Henson Park on Sunday 22 September.

Congratulations to the team from Marrickville SDN Children's Services Preschool on 80 years service to the Inner West community. 

I wish to acknowledge the passing of Jennifer Newman, a proud Wiradjuri woman and a well-loved and valued member of the Inner West community.

Congratulations to Summer Hill Lakers Netball Club for an outstanding season competing in the Inner West Netball Association competition. 

Along with many locals my family and I had great fun at the recent Wilkins Fair Day on 8 September. 

I would encourage you all to come down to Marrickville Road in Dulwich Hill on Sunday 29 September to celebrate the community and delights of the Inner West village of Dulwich Hill. 

I would like to give a warm welcome to the team at Postino Osteria, Summer Hill's newest dining destination, reinventing the site of the much loved One Penny Red in the former Post Office building.
