Key Western Sydney infrastructure projects will be canned, all because of the NSW Liberals’ mismanagement of infrastructure delivery, according to the government’s latest infrastructure report.

In a stunning turn of events in the NSW Parliament, the Government voted against a Labor motion calling for an end to the overseas manufacturing of transport infrastructure and to support Australian jobs in New South Wales.

This is what happens when you offshore manufacturing and privatise our transport system: corners get cut and passengers lose out.

A notice of motion on the Liberal Government's closure of the Inner West Light Rail 

Labor is urging the NSW Government to make replacement bus services for the Inner West Light Rail free so passengers do not have to pay for the inconvenience caused by the Government’s poor transport procurement policies.

The closure of the Inner West Light Rail line for at least 18 months and the decommissioning of every single tram on the line is clear evidence that the NSW Government’s transport procurement policies have comprehensively failed passengers across the state.
