I wish to recognise the sudden and unexpected passing of Mr David Searle, a much-loved teacher at Marrickville High School.

I wish to recognise the passing of Eddie Alameddine, a much-loved local Dulwich Hill business owner and member of my local community.

I wish to congratulate Mr Terry Wong from Hurlstone Park Wanderers for his recent recognition by Football NSW during Volunteer's week.

I wish to acknowledge the significant achievements of former Dulwich Hill Bicycle Club member Ms Margaret McLachlan, who in 1966 as a 21‑year‑old, had the cycling world at her feet, however the fact she regularly beat male riders deemed her too 'dangerous' a competitor.

It is my great pleasure to congratulate Marrickville local Brendan Ryland on being selected to represent Australia at this year's Transplant Football World Cup in Italy in September.
