As part of Inner West Council's Collab (Orate) initiative for International Women's Day 2022, Marrickville Legal Centre has transformed the Savvy Finance program from an online series of learning modules to in-person events.

Marrickville continues to be a magnet for foodies with the opening of Baba's Place in a sprawling warehouse in Sloane Street.

February 1 marked the 2022 Lunar New Year and the beginning of the year of the tiger.

On February 11, the Marrickville community celebrated the centenary anniversary of the opening of our Marrickville Town Hall.

Over three days in October, St Nicholas Parish Marrickville hosted a pop-up clinic to help connect members of the parish community to COVID-19 vaccines. 

Community and Cultural Connections Inc is based in Marrickville, providing culturally and linguistically appropriate and responsive services to seniors, people with a disability, their carers and family members.

The recent events in Afghanistan have caused distress and heartbreak across our communities.

June 20 marks the beginning of Refugee Week.

Communities work best when people of many different backgrounds and experiences come together and I am proud and honoured to celebrate the legacy of the Italian community in building our wonderful, diverse Inner West.
