The Tempe Birdos are celebrating their tenth anniversary this year; for a decade, the Birdos have conducted their monthly survey of the Tempe wetlands, making a significant contribution to bird conservation efforts along the Cook River.

On February 11, the Marrickville community celebrated the centenary anniversary of the opening of our Marrickville Town Hall.

In November 2018, to much fanfare, the New South Wales Government established the Special Commission of Inquiry into the Drug "Ice". Three years later, we still do not have a comprehensive response from the Government.
