NSW Labor Leader, Michael Daley and Shadow Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, David Harris, have today announced Labor’s policies to better support Aboriginal communities across NSW.

Labor representatives have hit out at the Minister for Education, Rob Stokes, and Minister for Early Childhood Education, Sarah Mitchell, after it was revealed the Government is pushing ahead with a controversial tender of Globe Wilkins Preschool just weeks before the NSW State election. 

Labor’s plan for better cycling and pedestrian infrastructure will connect communities to public transport,
take cars off the road, improve public health outcomes and make communities better places for people to
live.

Labor believes that the rushed and panicked implementation of the Government’s festival licence scheme and the associated fee price hikes are confused and untenable. They risk killing an industry that is very important to the events and tourism industries of our state. 

Jo Haylen today welcomed Michael Daley's announcement that Labor will make TAFE free for courses in skills shortage areas.

Jo Haylen MP, State Member for Summer Hill, joined NSW Labor Leader Michael Daley and NSW Shadow Minister for Education Jihad Dib in announcing today that a Daley Labor Government will give every child in NSW the opportunity to learn a second language in primary school.

“We owe it to the families of the young people who have died to listen carefully and examine the evidence from the experts,” Mr Daley said.

Daley Labor is backing in live music today supporting a raft of recommendations proposed by a key Parliamentary inquiry into the wider music and arts economy.

Kids’ safety will come first under a Labor policy to allocate a crossing guard at Haberfield Public School for the duration of WestConnex construction.
