Petersham TAFE West Street campus is the latest victim of the Baird Government's ideological war on TAFE. Staff and students have been told the campus will close by the end of 2016. Some were told to pack their bags by the end of the week

Jo Haylen, the Member for Summer Hill, condemned the Baird Government’s continued attacks on TAFE in NSW, with confirmation in the NSW Budget this week that the West Street campus will close, enrolments have plummeted and thousands of TAFE teachers and support staff have been sacked. 

Jo Haylen, Member for Summer Hill, today called on the Minister to reaffirm his commitment to funding the GreenWay after yesterday’s State Budget allocated only $200,000 to design of the project.

Jo Haylen, Member for Summer Hill, has acknowledged the contribution of refugees and asylum seekers to our community and noted the important work of community groups in the Inner West who support refugees.
