That this House:

1. Acknowledges the extraordinary contribution asylum seekers and refugees make to our country.

2. Congratulates local Inner West groups who represent the very best of Australia, welcoming asylum seekers, providing support to new arrivals and above all else, demonstrating compassionate leadership.

3. Particularly acknowledges the Bower and Reuse Repair Centre and Mums 4 Refugees, who have joined together to raise $10,000 to help asylum seekers buy furniture and the Addison Road Community Centre, which launched monthly night markets to promote entrepreneurship and innovation by asylum seekers.
