Thank you for taking the time to fill in my survey.

Thank you for taking the time to complete my survey. We all have a stake in planning our suburbs for the future.

Inner west residents are a welcoming and open-hearted lot.

We love to grow and share our suburbs - our excellent schools, tree-lined streets, our quality open spaces, and our uniquely diverse community. We are also happy to accept our fair share of density as our city grows.

But development cannot come at the cost of the infrastructure, services and amenity that holds our community together.

The density proposed in the Government's Sydenham to Bankstown Urban Renewal Corridor and in proposed developments such as those on Carrington Rd, Marrickville, are too high and reach too far into our suburbs.

There is no affordable housing. No meaningful open and recreational space. No additional funds for schools, child-care or hospitals.

Labor has announced that we will tear up the Government's plans for mass rezoning of our suburbs. We will go back to the drawing board and always put people and services at the heart of planning.

We will act to meaningfully tackle the challenge of affordable housing, including for renters

We will work with local resident and community action groups to grow our suburbs in a way that retains local character, protects the local environment and grows services along with them.
