Congratulations to the Polish Club at Ashfield on the opening of their brand-new premises. The Polish Club has a proud history dating back to the 1940s when Polish immigrants came to Australia at the end of World War Two. It has long been a place where people could meet and socialise with their friends and families, that provided some reminder and comfort of their old home. Originally founded by 208 members the Club was officially opened on the Ashfield site in May 1967. Patrons can now enjoy the new Club Bar and Lounge or the Polka Café and Deli all week. For a more formal meal the Sto Lat restaurant is open Wednesday to Sunday. The new facilities are indeed the best-looking Polish Club to be found outside of Poland and will be opened during celebrations at a Gala Black Tie event on September 23 September. Congratulations to Club President Richard Borysiewicz, the leadership team, members, and volunteers on the opening of this wonderful new premises and for your decades of dedication and commitment to commemorating the contribution of our Polish community.
