Thank you so much, ladies and gentlemen, honoured guests, friends and most importantly, families.

The Book of Isaiah tells us that, “The people that walked in darkness have seen a brilliant light and on those who dwelt in a land of gloom, light has dawned.

I was honoured to attend the opening of Jewish House's new meanwhile use development in Ashfield, an inspiring initiative supporting vulnerable people in our community.

Congratulations to the Inner West Council and the Greek community of Marrickville for hosting a powerful Oxi Day memorial service, honouring courage, resistance and national pride.

I would like to warmly welcome the Brazilian Cultural Centre to Marrickville – the first of its kind in Australia – a vibrant new space where art, music, dance, and language come together under one roof.
