For many Sydneysiders, Haberfield is just another suburb that one drives past: a name on a map, a sign on Parramatta Road, maybe a place your grandma took you to in order to buy cannoli—really good cannoli. However, for the people who live in Haberfield it is obviously much more. Today I take this opportunity to speak about Haberfield and the importance of its community.

Jo Haylen, the Member for Summer Hill, will host a breakfast next Monday to acknowledge and remember women affected by breast cancer, with all proceeds going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Multiculturalism is one of the great hallmarks of our country and of this State. We all have value and our country is built by many hands on the foundations of mutual respect.

Today I mark the five-year anniversary of the Adoption Amendment (Same Sex Couples) Bill 2010, a bill that allowed same-sex couples to adopt children in New South Wales.
