3. Notes Australia's international obligations to protect asylum seekers and the importance of increasing our humanitarian intake as the tragedies of the world increasingly lead to the persecution of individuals.
4. Thanks community organisations, including the Metro Migrant Resource Centre in Marrickville, for their support of asylum seekers.
