I give notice that on the next sitting day I will move that this House:

  1. Notes that the Government will rip down the pedestrian and cycling overpass at Victoria Road onto the Anzac Bridge – the busiest cycling route in Sydney – for two years for WestConnex construction;
  2. Notes that this is the cycling equivalent of shutting down the Warringah Freeway and that the Government wouldn’t do this to motorists;
  3. Notes that local residents, Bicycle NSW and other walking and bike groups have slammed the detours as dangerous, endangering lives; and
  4. Calls on the Government to immediately stop their plans to demolish this perfectly good overpass and find a safe solution to people walking and riding to Sydney’s CBD.
