This year, Trish Wyner received an Amy Large Volunteer Award for her efforts with Dress for Success. Dress for Success is a Marrickville based community organisation that aims to "empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and development tools". Dress for Success is a brilliant initiative to make the lives of women entering the professional workforce just a little bit easier, and helps many women overcome some of the challenges they face in re-entering the workforce. Trish is described as a quiet achiever who has worked tirelessly to deliver the best outcomes for members of her community. So far this year she has helped organise eight fashion fundraising events, with all the proceeds going to support the women who rely on Dress for Success. I have spoken in this place previously about the fantastic work of Dress for Success, and it gives me great joy to see Trish's hard work recognised. Congratulations Trish and the Dress for Success team.
