That this House:

  1. Notes there are concerns that the Government plans to catch communities unaware along the Sydenham to Bankstown railway line with an extra 25,000 more units in addition to the 35,000 units included in its draft plans for mass rezoning.
  2. Considers the consultant's report commissioned by the Government, which reveals that 58,747 new dwellings could be financially feasible to develop, as evidence that these plans were always for developers, not the community.
  3. Calls on the Government to immediately halt plans for mass rezoning, and to deliver instead a comprehensive plan for community infrastructure in the inner west, including schools, child-care, parks and hospitals.
