That this House:

1. Notes that the lease for Globe Wilkins Preschool in Marrickville will not be renewed by the Department of Education, thus threatening its closure.

2. Notes Globe Wilkins Preschool has the highest number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children enrolled across all Inner West Council early learning centres, the highest number of children who experience disability, and is the only council-run preschool to receive an excellence rating under the national quality framework.

3. Calls on the Minister for Education to work with the Wilkins Public School community, parents from Globe Wilkins preschool, and the Inner West Council so as to secure Globe Wilkins' future and to ensure the learning objectives of all students at Globe Wilkins and Wilkins Public School.
