On Sunday 29 May, music-loving parents were able to take their kids out to a special family-friendly concert at Marrickville's own cultural hub, The Great Club. Multi-ARIA Award winning artist Josh Pyke as well as multi-instrumentalist Matthew J. Tow played an acoustic show that was enjoyed by both parents and children alike. During an up-close performance with the artists, Pyke and Tow took song requests from the crowd. Throughout the night, those in attendance of the Inner West venue rocked out to some family-friendly classics like Crocodile Rock and Humpty Dumpty. The concert was a part of the tour series, Small Fry Rock which has set out to host gigs around Australia that reconnect busy parents to their love of music in a child-friendly environment. Congratulations to both Josh Pyke and Matthew J. Tow, as well as the organisers of Small Fry Rock for inspiring a new generation of kids in the Inner West to love live music.
