Congratulations to Sergeant Jon Fadeli of Burwood Local Area Command, who has been named Metropolitan Field Operations Police Officer of the Year for 2025 at the recent Rotary Clubs of NSW Police Officer of the Year Awards. This prestigious honour recognises exceptional leadership, bravery and service across the NSW Police Force. Sergeant Fadeli's professionalism, courage and care set a high standard for policing. In 2025, he led Strike Force Camena, seizing over seven tonnes of butanediol, a precursor drug worth more than $40 million and charging five offenders. His actions have made a significant impact on community safety. Sergeant Fadeli has also saved lives, performing CPR on a patient in Summer Hill and re-engaging their pulse before paramedics arrived. Off duty, he coordinated emergency services during a house fire, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to public safety. Beyond operational excellence, Sergeant Fadeli mentors junior officers, fosters team morale and promotes a culture of support and recognition.
