I move that this House:

1. Notes record high electricity prices under this Government, with prices rising by 60 percent since 2011, including rises of up to 20 percent from 1 July 2017.

2. Notes that unlike the Government, the Opposition will not ignore the rising cost of electricity prices and will act to re-regulate electricity pricing.

3. Understands the Australian Consumer Competition Commission, farming, welfare and other consumer groups support this approach.

4. Calls on the Government to stop delaying over power prices and do something to help struggling households.
