The Government fails to understand that the community has its number - the community understands that this is a government that fails when it comes to proper consultation, that will always put developer and private interests before those of the will do whatever it can to remove transparency and parliamentary oversight when it comes to ripping out our rail lines.

What is clear is that we must not sacrifice the important democratic principle that local decisions are best made by local people.
