I move that this House:
-
Notes the frustration of Ashbury residents with the existing community consultation process in planning, which left them excluded from consultation around the Chubb and Tyres 4 U site planning proposals.
-
Calls on the Government to commit fully to the early consultation requirements outlined in the draft planning legislation and to ensure these requirements also apply to Planning Proposals.
-
Draws the attention of the Government to the IAP2 Public Participation Spectrum, which provides a best practice approach to community consultation and involvement.
