Congratulations to Ashbury's own Melissa Danelutti on her outstanding debut at the World Women's Senior Championships in Macon, France in November 2025! At just 18 years of age, Melissa represented Australia at her first Senior Women's World Championships, competing against elite athletes from more than 30 nations. Melissa delivered a strong performance and surpassed her personal best, an impressive milestone on the world stage. Melissa was part of an exceptional Australian team that helped elevate Australia to 9th place in the overall World Ranking. This is a significant achievement for Australian bocce. With the guidance of Australian Coach Corentin "Coco" Julien, the team demonstrated discipline, unity and rising competitive strength throughout the championships. As Bocce Australia President Frank Funari said, this result reflects the promise, talent and professionalism within Australian bocce and Melissa is clearly part of that exciting future. Melissa, you've made Ashbury and Australia incredibly proud. Congratulations on this wonderful achievement!
