The school community at Marrickville West Public School are rallying to support their much-loved and long-standing school crossing supervisor Mr Colin who has recently been diagnosed with a serious illness. A great school crossing supervisor is a vital member of any school community. They ensure children's safety, build trust with families, and create a welcoming presence each day. Their vigilance, care, and friendly demeanor make them a cherished part of the school's daily rhythm and overall wellbeing of students. Mr. Colin embodied all these great characteristics in abundance, and we all send him our best wishes. In a sign of just how loved he is by the school community, year 6 students are making posters and get well cards to acknowledge his care and kindness. On behalf of the whole Marrickville West community, I thank him for his care and diligence in his work and wish him all the best for a speedy recovery. While Mr. Colin is on leave, we welcome casual crossing supervisor, Ms. Josephine to the Marrickville West PS community.
