Congratulations to Marrickville Croquet Club on reaching an extraordinary milestone — 100 years of community, camaraderie, and croquet. This milestone is a testament to the dedication of volunteers, players, and community members who have kept its lawns green and its spirit thriving. Across the many transformations of the inner west, the Marrickville Croquet Club has remained a constant, welcoming residents of all ages and backgrounds, and offering a uniquely gentle but fiercely strategic sport that brings joy to so many. The history of the Club is beautifully captured in the new booklet "Celebrating a Centenary The Story of Marrickville Croquet Club: 100 years". It provides an important record of the evolution of the Club since 1926 to the current day where membership has never been higher and the facilities never looked better! Thank you to the current executive team; President Roberta Flint, Vice President Lance Howes, Treasurer Michele van der Sander, Secretary Louise Chapman and Ordinary Member Clyth Hoult. Your dedication and care has delivered real benefits to your beautiful corner of the park, including stunning gardens, and a new watering system. Congratulations to everyone involved — past and present — on 100 remarkable years.
