That this House:

1. Notes with concern that Globe Wilkins Preschool continues to face closure following the decision by the Department of Education to end its current lease on the grounds of Wilkins Public School at Marrickville.

2. Recognises the vital importance of co-locating preschools with public schools, both to ease the pressure on parents and carers, but also to improve the learning objectives for children of all ages.

3. Notes that the Opposition will not allow Globe Wilkins Preschool to close.

4. Calls on the Minister for Education to give nervous parents and carers facing enrolment choices the certainty their families need by guaranteeing that Globe Wilkins Preschool will stay open.
