Keira Mackenzie is a passionate young advocate for safety in our community. When her friend was subject to an attack along the Cooks River Pathway, Keira launched a community campaign to raise awareness and fight to get lighting installed along the pathway. Keira has worked tirelessly to raise awareness of the issue of safety by distributing information flyers, starting discussions with local organisations and community members, as well as attending Inner West Council meetings and speaking up to urge action on this issue. Thanks to Keira's campaign, we are getting lights installed along the Cooks River Pathway, but Keira won't stop her fight for community safety until every light is installed and everyone feels safe in our community. Keira is an inspiration to all young people who are fighting for their community. Thank you Keira, for all of your hard work and determination.
