I move that this House:
-
Condemns the Government's plans to remove dozens of bus stops on key routes in the Inner West, including stops close to schools, childcare centres and nursing homes.
-
Notes that the removal of bus stops will make buses less accessible to people with disabilities, the elderly and parents with prams.
-
Calls on the Government to invest in reliable vehicles, and increase the number of express buses and transit lanes.
-
Calls on the Government to improve the efficiency of the bus system without making that system less accessible.
