Ashfield Public School is one of 210 schools across New South Wales designated as high progress, with students demonstrating above-average progress in literacy, numeracy and reading. 

The class of 2021 have made us all proud. 

I acknowledge the many Inner West students who participated in the online School Strike 4 Climate on Friday 15 October.

For so many students, young people and families in the South Marrickville community, Connect Marrickville SaCC is a source of strength, support and inspiration, especially during the pandemic.

The Raise Foundation offers mentoring and support programs for young people across Australia, including at Marrickville High School and Dulwich High School of Visual Art and Design in my electorate.

Once again, COVID-19 has given us all an even greater appreciation for the work of teachers and educators in our schools.

I congratulate Ferncourt Public School on its Waste Warriors program.

The very best teachers, principals and early childhood educators live and work in the Inner West.

Congratulations to Hanna Mohammed and Ethan Krumins from Ashfield Boys High School and to Varun Laal and Selina Jin from Marrickville High School on being recognised as this year's Summer Hill Secondary School Leaders by the New South Wales Parliament.

Tyrone and Joshua are a testament to the future of the inner west and have gone above and beyond to make a real difference for someone in need.
