I was pleased to join the team at Dress for Success to celebrate their dedicated volunteers during National Volunteers Week. Each year, Dress for Success supports more than 3,000 women across New South Wales to enter or re-enter the workforce, restoring confidence, opening doors and helping people believe in themselves again. From careful outfit curation to client-centred styling and career support, the impact of this work is profound and lasting. Volunteers are the heart and driving force behind this important work. They generously give their time, skills and compassion to support women at critical moments in their lives, offering not just practical assistance but encouragement, dignity and belief. Their contribution ensures that every client feels seen, supported and empowered, and it is their dedication that allows Dress for Success to continue making a meaningful difference across our community. Special congratulations to two remarkable volunteers recognised for their exceptional service — Margaret Patterson, honoured with a certificate for 1,000 volunteer hours, and Meryl Rundle, celebrated for an extraordinary 3,000 hours of dedicated service. Sincere thanks also to Chair Amanda Webb, Board Director of Volunteering Phillipa Dobbin, CEO Sonia Casanova, Treasurer Ben McEvoy and the entire leadership team.
