Congratulations to the organisers of the Culture X Festival held recently at Pratten Park in Ashfield. Culture X continues the work of the Sydney Sacred Music Festival, showcasing new music and projects that engage with our diverse communities. Extending over three days the festival celebrated the many different cultural backgrounds that call the Inner West and broader Sydney home. The opening sunset ceremony included a beautiful performance by the Barayagal Aboriginal Choir and moving smoking ceremony. Crowds were treated to a wide range of amazing performances from the energetic display by the Indian Drumming Group, to Aboriginal dance workshops, night-time dance parties and captivating performances by refugee artists. A special thankyou to Inner West Council, Multicultural NSW and Create NSW for supporting this fantastic event.
