I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and immense gratitude to Councillor Mark Drury for his 18 years on Inner West, and formerly Ashfield, Council. Over the years, Mark has championed countless projects in the Inner West including the Ashfield Civic Centre project, Ashfield Aquatic Centre, building the Greenway from the Cooks to Parramatta Rivers and increasing funding for essential public infrastructure. Mark's two great passions have been seeking to find a more just settlement with Indigenous Peoples and working to improve the water quality of the Parramatta River. Mark was a passionate advocate for the Voice and proud supporter of the Aboriginal Survival Memorial in Yeo Park. He has also served as the Chair of the Parramatta River Catchment Group since 2017. Mark leaves Inner West Council as it is on track to deliver a surplus for the people of the Inner West, something of which Mark is very proud. Thank you again Mark for your dedicated service to the people of the Inner West, and I wish you all the best in your next endeavours.
