That this House:

1. Notes the development application to rezone the carpark at Canterbury Racecourse on the corner of King Street and Princess Street as surplus land.

2. Acknowledges the strong community concerns this development application to yet more high rise development and that it undermines the masterplan process the community was promised.

3. Calls on the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces to immediately halt the assessment of the development application and to recommit to the masterplan process to  ensure the community is fully involved in deciding the future of Canterbury Racecourse.
