Congratulations to the organisers of the 21st Bay Run Festival, held on Sunday 3 August around the stunning Iron Cove Bay. This beloved community event perfectly captures what makes Sydney special - bringing together families, school kids, and elite runners for one of our city's favourite fun runs. I managed to run in the 7km loop myself, running to raise vital funds for schools across the Inner West. What makes the Bay Run Festival extraordinary is how it welcomes everyone. Whether you're a seasoned athlete tackling the scenic 7km course or a young runner taking on the 2km kids' run, there's a place for every fitness level. Despite the rain the vibe all the way around Iron Cove Bay was electric, with cheering families and volunteers ensuring everyone felt supported. As I ran alongside fellow community members, I was reminded of how events like this strengthen our local bonds while supporting worthy causes. Thanks to all the organisers, volunteers, and participants who made this day possible. The Bay Run Festival proves that when our community comes together, we can achieve great things while having fun. Here's to continuing this wonderful tradition for years to come!
