That this House:

1. Notes that only six arts projects have been funded in the latest round of the NSW Arts and Cultural Projects fund, a success rate of only 2.7 percent.

2. Notes that of the successful grants, only one was from Western Sydney and one from regional New South Wales.

3. Notes that New South Wales spends only $18 per capita on arts and culture funding, while Victoria spends $31 per capita and Queensland spend $23 per capita.

4. Calls on the Government to acknowledge and respect the vital importance of arts and culture to New South Wales, and increase arts funding as a matter of urgency.
