I will note that this House:
(1) Notes that on 26 September 2022 the overseas-made Fairlight Ferry experienced a steering failure while allegedly in the path of a cruise ship on Sydney Harbour.
(2) Acknowledges this came only days after a steering problem on the Clontarf Ferry.
(3) Calls on the Government to stop their obsession with buying overseas-made ferries that are not up to the job and put passengers' safety at risk and to build them here instead.
