I move that on the next sitting Day this House:

1. Notes the Government will demolish the pedestrian and cycling overpass at Victoria Road located adjacent to Lilyfield Road.

2. Notes the removal of the overpass will impact the busiest cycling route in Sydney for two years to accommodate the WestConnex construction.

3. Notes the demolition is the cycling equivalent of shutting down the Warringah Freeway and that the Government would not do this to motorists.

4. Notes local residents, Bicycle NSW and other walking and bike groups have criticised the detours as dangerous and endangering lives.

5. Calls on the Government to immediately stop its plans to demolish the overpass and find a safe solution for pedestrians and cyclists accessing Sydney's Central Business District.
