I give notice that on the next sitting day I will move that this house:

  1. Notes that each year more than 200,000 Australians are unable to access Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) treatment and that drug-induced deaths in Australia are at the highest levels in 20 years;
  2. Congratulates Uniting and all those involved in The Long Walk to Treatment, a campaign that highlights the desperate need for alcohol and drug services in regional NSW;
  3. Calls on the Government to work with the Opposition and cross-benches to establish a comprehensive drug summit, led by experts, that addresses shortfalls in treatment services and the evidence behind harm minimisation approaches to illicit drug use.
