I would like to acknowledge the invaluable work of Maggie's Rescue Cooperative. Their tireless commitment to animal welfare over the past 13 years has seen them recently achieve the remarkable milestone of over two thousand pets being rehomed! Maggie's Rescue was founded in 2011 when the cooperatives early founders got the call that a nine-year-old border collie named Maggie had been found abandoned by a woman who needed their help to find Maggie the care she needed. Maggie's Rescue's no-kill philosophy allows their team to focus on rescuing and rehoming unwanted animal companions, advocating for and assisting in desexing animal companions, and educating and promoting animal welfare in the Inner West community. Headed by director Dr Sandra Hodgins the team behind Maggie's embodies integrity, collaboration, and most importantly the compassion for and empowerment of voiceless animals. Their hard work has paid off for over a decade, showing that this incredibly important cause and the undeniably hardworking people behind it is paramount to both the people and pets in the Inner West community. Thank you and congratulations to everyone involved with Maggie's Rescue and keep up the important work!
