The Haberfield Guide District reached its 90th year back in June 2021, however, due to the COVID pandemic, celebrations were put on hold. Thankfully, in March this year, present and past Guides were able to gather with family and friends to take a sentimental look back at the founding of the Haberfield Guide District. It was in 1931 that the St David's Committee granted Miss Gladys Dunlop permission to form a company of Girl Guides connected with St David's Church. Since then, the group has continued to empower and inspire the girls and young women of Haberfield to discover their own potential as our future leaders. The celebration also included a range of activities and outdoor fun hosted by their brilliant Guide Leaders. I thank all the Haberfield Girl Guides who stand up as skilled and kind role models in our community, and especially thank and acknowledge the work of Isabella Ramirra. I look forward to seeing you continue to change our world, one Girl Guide at a time
