Congratulations! Inner west residents have forced the Government to slam the brakes on their plans for road network changes around the WestConnex tunnel portals.

This petition sends, yet again, a clear message to the Government that the people of New South Wales are fed up with its addiction to polluting toll roads.

The Liberal Government promised WestConnex would mean less traffic on local roads. A year on, the cat is out of the bag—WestConnex has made inner west local traffic even worse. 

While residents acknowledge the need to combat rat running and congestion around the inner west due to WestConnex, these proposals are clearly focused on moving people in and out of WestConnex tunnels rather than improving traffic and amenity for local communities. My submission to the proposed "road improvements" in Haberfield, Ashfield and Leichhardt.

A question to the Government about the status of "legacy land" in Haberfield and Ashfield that was due to returned the public at the conclusion of construction work for the M4 East WestConnex Project.

A question to the Government about the removal of netball courts at Richard Munden Reserve.

A question to the Government regarding erroneous land tax notifications, issued as a result of property being subject to subsurface acquisitions for the WestConnex M4-M5 project.

I remain firmly opposed to all stages of the WestConnex project and raise serious community concerns in relation to the proposed overpass and active transport links in Rozelle Bay (SSI-7485-MOD-2).
