I wish to acknowledge the long and distinguished career of Mr Peter Kaye AM ESM who has recently retired from his leadership role with the NSW State Emergency Service [SES] after 47 years of dedicated service.

But most of all, let us never forget these past few months, because we need to work together and fight side by side to make sure it never happens again.
