The return of full services to the Inner West Light Rail line has been further delayed to November, over a year since the entire line was shut down due to dangerous cracking in the overseas-built light rail vehicles.

The Liberal Government has failed the people and local businesses of Parramatta by not delivering this project on time.

 It will take an additional 17 years to roll out Zero Emissions Buses in New South Wales

The Government must admit that their overseas-built Emerald Class Manly ferries are not up to the job. 

The bill seeks to establish a framework for the development of rail trails in New South Wales while providing greater opportunities to repurpose disused lines for purposes related to tourism, recreation, roads or road infrastructure. The bill removes the requirement for an Act of Parliament to close a rail line for the purpose of establishing a rail trail, determining that the removal of tracks or the undertaking of other work does not constitute the formal closure of the line.

This industrial dispute has been going on for more than a year and that instead of trying to resolve it, the Government has inflamed it at every opportunity.

I rise to support this year's important Rail Safety Week.

Taking place this week of 8-14 August, the annual campaign seeks to build community awareness for safe rail practices.

Given the CEO of Infrastructure NSW recently said during budget estimates that he is "not aware of any policies which specify either preferring local materials over imported materials or setting particular targets", how can the Premier pretend that his Government has any credibility when it comes to supporting local jobs through local procurement?

The Government needs to restore the Freshwater class ferries so that passengers can have a reliable Manly Ferry Service.

The Government needs to stop acting like property developers and instead do their job of delivering a reliable transport network for New South Wales
