Jo Haylen, the Member for Summer Hill, today welcomed the decision to finally allow students to use their Opal cards and travel for free on the Inner West Light Rail, questioning the Government's delay.

The Baird Government should urgently install a lift and fix flooding issues at the Lewisham train station because residents are sick of waiting for an upgrade to the rail hub, the local member has said.

Jo Haylen, Member for Summer Hill, will next week be joined by the new Shadow Minister for Transport, Jodi McKay MP, to campaign for an accessibility upgrade for Lewisham Station.

Jo Haylen has called on the Government to support all full-time students, including online students, with concession travel. 

The Government fails to understand that the community has its number - the community understands that this is a government that fails when it comes to proper consultation, that will always put developer and private interests before those of the will do whatever it can to remove transparency and parliamentary oversight when it comes to ripping out our rail lines.

If we want Parramatta Road to be more than a characterless, polluting, noisy, log-jammed road that divides the inner west in two then light rail is the answer.

More planes are set to land at Sydney Airport between 5am and 6am, and residents in the flight path aren’t happy.

Jo Haylen gave a private members statement on the proposed rezoning of land around Train Stations on the Sydenham to Bankstown line by the NSW Department of Planning.

Jo will always stand up for transport that is accessible, reliable, safe and affordable. 

These are draft plans, however, nothing has been done to limit land and property speculation – Developers are being given free reign by their friends in the Baird Government.
