Jo Haylen MP, Member for Summer Hill, today criticised the Berejiklian Government’s Housing Affordability plan for failing to address rental affordability. 

Jo Haylen, Member for Summer Hill, is calling on the Minister for Education, Rob Stokes, to add his voice to those calling for an end to the misogynistic culture of St Paul’s College and immediately move to review and update the governing Acts of all residential colleges to meet community expectations in 2017.

The State Member for Summer Hill, Jo Haylen MP, welcomed the Labor Opposition’s package on housing affordability, announced over the weekend. The package sets mandatory housing targets that will make available tens of thousands of homes for people on low and middle incomes to rent and purchase.  

The Minister for Transport, Andrew Constance, today refused to answer questions about whether the Government’s Bus Rationalisation Program, which removed dozens of key stops throughout the inner west just a few months ago, was a ploy to privatise the bus service by stealth.

1,200 public transport workers in the Inner West will be cut, according to Rail Tram and Bus Union of NSW estimates. These are the same workers who only six months ago were assured by the Government their jobs were safe for five years.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian has broken her promise to ensure her federal Liberal colleagues honour the so called Gonski funding agreement, costing schools in Strathfield and Summer Hill thousands of dollars in funding.

The Berekjiklian Government today released another glossy brochure with details on its M4-M5 link, with sites on Wattle St, Walker Ave and Northcote Street used for construction until 2022.
