Regional rail services at risk, essential workers in isolation and stranded due to Constance and Toole failures

A number of NSW TrainLink Services have been cancelled, leaving essential workers stranded after a fortnight of chaos at the Central Station Staff Testing Hub. Around 260 NSW TrainLink staff were advised that a COVID-19 tester at Central Station had tested positive for COVID-19.

The NSW Government’s River Class ferries will be further delayed, after safety standards mandated that the windows in the vessels wheelhouses be replaced because they make the vessels unsafe to operate at night.
