I would like to commend the work of the members of Friends of Yasmar, particularly Angie Gallinaro.

The upcoming referendum on an Indigenous Voice to Parliament presents an incredibly important opportunity for our country to enshrine in its constitution the recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.

I would like to recognise the efforts of the organisers of the Pathways Music Festival, and their venue, Pratten Park Bowling Club Ashfield, for hosting yet another fantastic festival, building on the success of last year. 

This year, Trish Wyner received an Amy Large Volunteer Award for her efforts with Dress for Success. 

I congratulate the Ashfield and District Historical Society on its fiftieth-year anniversary. The protection of our rich and storied history is the key responsibility of every generation.

Ben Ross was nominated for the Inner West Citizen of the Year award this year. 

Teigan Butchers was recognised this year in the Amy Large Volunteer Awards for their outstanding work in advocating for LGBTQIA+ inclusion in sports.

Addison Road Community Centre will now be partnering weekly with Street Side Medics, which is a GP led mobile clinic providing medical care for acutely disadvantaged people.

The wonderful work of Newtown Neighbourhood Centre continues with their Car Boot Sleep Out - which aims to fundraise and highlight the experience of women over 55 in the Inner West who are sleeping rough in their cars. 

I would like to congratulate the fantastic team at Addison Road Community Centre on another wonderful Addi Road Writers festival.
